7-Day Kenya Safari: Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli

Our 7-day Kenya safari is the classic Kenyan route, and the trip we would plan for anyone visiting the country for the first time. You see the big cats of the Masai Mara, the rhinos of Lake Nakuru, the hippos of Lake Naivasha and the elephants of Amboseli beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, all in one week.

You travel in a private 4x4 Land Cruiser with the same driver guide from start to finish. Shorter on time? Our 5-day Kenya safari covers the Mara and the lakes. Want to finish on the beach? See our 8-day safari and beach holiday.

Good to Know Before You Go

Best time for this safari

July to October is the most popular time, when the Great Migration is in the Mara and the dry weather makes wildlife easy to find. January and February are also excellent. The green seasons offer lower lodge rates and fewer vehicles.

Read more in our destinations guide.

Can the route be changed?

Yes. Every Saafo safari can be adjusted. You can add a night, swap Nakuru for Samburu, upgrade a single lodge, or finish with a few days on the beach in Diani or Zanzibar.
