Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda is one of the most biodiverse forests on Earth and the world’s most iconic destination for mountain gorilla trekking.

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Gorilla trekking is the highlight of any visit to Bwindi. Guided by expert rangers, visitors hike deep into the rainforest to encounter a mountain gorilla family in its natural environment.
Each trek is unique and can last from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement. Once found, guests spend one full hour observing the gorillas.
